Import & Export
CDM P3D Studio reads and writes MLOD — the editable P3D. Export takes exactly the collection the Outliner currently means.
Import
Three paths, same file:
- N-panel → Import MLOD …
- Menu File → Import → Import P3D (MLOD)
- Drop a
.p3dinto the 3D viewport
The model lands as a collection with LOD meshes: Resolution, Geometry, Memory, Roadway, View and Fire Geometry — plus helper folders for loot and proxies.
Export
- N-panel → Export MLOD …
- Menu File → Export → Export P3D (MLOD)
Export writes the Outliner scope, not another building in the scene in silence. Validate first. Proxies come along even without an extra child mesh, as long as they hang on the LOD.
Typical order
- Import MLOD or create your mesh as a Resolution LOD
- Select the model collection in the Outliner
- Set LODs, textures, selections, proxies, loot
- Validate — read the warnings
- Export MLOD → DayZ Tools / Addon Builder
